Blue Opal Coin Necklace

This necklace features bright blue opals adorned with our Aztec coin pendant and our signature MHART logo clasp.

Opals are formed by rain water seeping down into rock crevasses. It is one of the few gemstones found on Mars that has been found after the water evaporates, causing the silica left behind to harden and form precious opal.

The MHART Aztec coin pendant features the historic symbols used to calculate the days, seasons, and years in the Mesoamerican calendar. It consists of a 365 day cycle called Xiuhpohualli, and a 260 day ritual cycle known as Tonalpohualli. Together, these two cycles form a 52 year century.
